Experience Corps
Experience Corps is an award-winning national program that engages people over age 55 in meeting their communities’ greatest challenges. In Baltimore City, nearly 400 hundred volunteers serve as mentors to students in 20 public elementary schools within and outside of Greater Homewood. Their service bridges two generations. Experience Corps gives Baltimore’s children an additional, critical source of wisdom and mentoring in their young lives. And Experience Corps volunteers find in those children an opportunity to share insights gained over a lifetime, stay active, and make a new friend.
