Neighborhood & Economic Development Program

Overview

Greater Homewood Community Corporation’s Neighborhood and Economic Development Program (NED) is working daily in forty neighborhoods in north central Baltimore. We work to strengthen the real estate market, improve the physical conditions and appearance of both individual homes and overall neighborhoods, encourage homeowner investment and block projects, involve residents, and train community leaders to address neighborhood concerns.

NED works with neighborhoods to set their own priorities, allowing us to concentrate our efforts on what matters most to residents. Whether it is public safety, beautification, enforcing housing code, encouraging homeowner investment, or sanitation, the Neighborhood and Economic Development Program has the ability to actively support our communities and use our investment to leverage support from Baltimore City agencies, businesses and other nonprofit organizations in the area.
