The 29th Street Community Center was born in the place of the Barclay Recreation Center, which shut down in 2011.

The mission of The 29th Street Community Center is to build and strengthen neighborhoods and people, by bringing together residents of North Central Baltimore through meaningful community building and high-quality enrichment programming for all ages and backgrounds.

Does dancing away all your stress and having tons of fun while staying fit appeal to you? Well, we have the Zumba class you’ve been searching for!

How about a sing-along group with your little ones? We have that too!

Check out these programs out as well as the 20+ others we offer – for all ages!

If you’re looking for space to rent out for an event, look no further than The 29th Street Community Center! We have rooms ranging from large open spaces to spacious and cozy, and anywhere in between.

We host everything from birthday parties, baby showers, recognition events, community programs, workshops, and sports tournaments.
