GHCC partnership schools Guilford and Barclay Elementary/Middle are among 12 city schools participating in a BCPSS, Art on Purpose, and Walters Art Museum collaboration A Thousand Ships.  The students’ work will be exhibited on October 25 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Walters Art Museum. Inspired by the heroism of Helen of Troy, A Thousand Ships honors 12 individuals in Baltimore City Public Schools who colleagues have nominated as community heroes.  Artwork was created by students and adults to honor social studies teacher and National Academic League leader Ted Smith at Guilford and volunteer Robert Chapman at Barclay.  For more information, visit the Art on Purpose website.
