Experience Corps Program to Receive Bridge Builder Award
GHCC and the Center on Aging and Health (COAH) at the Johns Hopkins University have been recognized by the Partners for Livable Communities with a Bridge Builders Award for the Experience Corps program. Experience Corps places volunteer mentors over age 55 in elementary school classrooms. GHCC and COAH will receive their award at an April 10 ceremony in Washington, D.C. Other Bridge Builders Award winners this year include California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
